Mead receiver and defensive back Zack Bagdon is the Cricket/Mattress Land Student Athlete of the Month for the month of October.

The senior football player is also a well-rounded student whose favorite class is AP Government.

"Academics comes first for me, it's the most important," said Bagdon. "I have football, which gets kind of hectic. Once football is over I try and get all my homework done and study."

When he's not playing football or studying for tests, Bagdon is involved in other school activities, including student body leadership.
