SWX Right Now-Sports for Spokane, CdA, Tri-Cities, WAFerris No. 1; Eastside Schools Well Represented in Statewide Rankings

Ferris remains the top 4A school in the state, according to the high school football rankings put out Thursday by the Associated Press. The ranking mirrors the SWX Pick 6 Power Rankings in which Ferris is No. 2 behind first-place Coeur d'Alene (Idaho).

Bellarmine Prep, from Tacoma, came in at No. 2, followed by Eastlake, Skyline and Chiawana

from the Big 9.

In 3A, Bellevue was No. 1. Big 9 schools in the rankings included Kamiakin (No. 4) and Kennewick (No. 10).

West Valley, from Spokane, was No. 7 in Class 2A. Connell was No. 3 in the 1A ranks, while Freeman came in at No. 6. Colfax remains No. 1 in 2B, followed by Waitsburg-Prescott. Lind-Ritzville was No. 7, DeSales was No. 8 and Reardan was No. 9. Almira-Coulee/Hartline was No. 2 in the 1B Class.
