Michael Jordan was fined $100,000 for talking publicly about issues related to the NBA lockout.
The NBA fined Michael Jordan $100,000 for comments he made in public about the league's ongoing lockout, according to a report from ESPN.
Jordan, an owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, was quoted in an Australian newspaper as saying he supported revenue sharing. He specifically mentioned Australian center Andrew Bogut.
The NBA prohibits owners and employees from talking about the lockout or about any players while negotiations are ongoing. A memo sent out in July said that anyone who violated the rules would be fined up to $1 million.
