The Spokane Shock have at least one piece to next season's puzzle. Quarterback Erik Meyer said on his Facebook page Monday morning he intends to play for the Shock next spring.

"I am excited to say that I will be returning next season to the Spokane Shock. I can't wait for next season to start so we can start working on bringing back that arena cup back to Spokane. It's such an honor to be playing for the best fans in the game. See you guys soon. God Bless!" – Erik Meyer

Meyer was traded to the Shock from Utah this season after Shock lost three quarterbacks to injury and cut a fourth because of a lack of production. He received a concussion in the Shock's win over Chicago, and then suffered a season-ending shoulder injury against San Jose.

Meyer will be required to complete the rehab on his shoulder before he can officially sign with the Shock.
