It was another historic year at Avista Stadium in 2011, as the Indians once again led the Northwest League in attendance, with 183,548 fans (an average of 4,830 per game) walking through the venerable stadium's gates throughout the season.
"We can't thank our fans and community enough for their support during the season," said Vice President of Tickets Josh Roys. "We have the best fans in the NWL, and we're looking forward to another great year in 2012."
The Indians have topped the NWL in attendance for the past 13 seasons, the longest such streak in the history of the league. Spokane drew over 20,000 more fans than their closest competitor in the league, the Vancouver Canadians, and had the fourth highest attendance nationally among Short Season Class ‘A' teams, which also includes the NY-Penn League.
"I loved playing in front of the big crowds at Avista Stadium," said first-round pick Kevin Matthews. "There was a great energy for every game; the fans and sponsors make a big difference in Spokane."
