If Bo Levi Mitchell keeps it up, Eagle fans better hope he is ambidextrous. The Eastern Washington senior gunslinger threw a career-high 69 passes last Saturday in the near-win over Washington!

The 69 passes were the second-most attempts in school history.

Head coach Beau Baldwin said depending on Mitchell was the plan going into game against the Huskies. He thought throwing the ball gave the Eagles the best shot at an upset. And it almost worked.

The plan this week, however, is to put together a more balanced attack against South Dakota.

"I really hope that I don't throw for 69 times the rest of the year," said Baldwin. "But I wouldn't take back that plan and what we had going into it."

Either would Mitchell. But after the Eagles outgained the Huskies 504 yards to their 250 he could sure use a rest.

"Is your arm hanging, how is your arm feeling?" SWX's Sam Adams asked at practice on Wednesday.

"It was hanging a little bit the next day," Mitchell said with a chuckle and a smile. "But you know - get some ice on it and get some rehab and run around a little bit. It's all good."

Saturday's game at South Dakota kicks off at 2 p.m. (PT) and will not be televised locally.
