UW's Trufant Name Co-Player of the Week

Updated:

Eastern fans may not appreciate this, but one of the Players of the Week in the Pac-12 is the man who took the possible win away from the Eagles over the weekend.

The conference named Washington cornerback Desmond Trufant co-Player of the Week on Monday for his play against Eastern Washington. It was Trufant who intercepted Bo Levi Mitchell late in the fourth quarter on Saturday, preventing the monumental upset at Century Link Field. He had a career-high 11 tackles and a forced fumble in addition to his interception.

Trufant's co-Players of the Week were Washington kicker Erik Folk and USC receiver Robert Woods.

Woods was a perfect 3-of-3 on field goals against Eastern Washington, including a 53-yarder.
