Amateur video shows coaches going after officials at a youth football game in Florida (YouTube)
Players, coaches and parents involved in an attack on officials at a youth football game in Florida could face felony charges.
Video of the attack, which took place last Saturday, first surfaced on YouTube. The video shows coaches of a team made up of 13-year-old and 14-year-old boys began throwing water bottles at officials. At one point, an official is violently tackled to the ground and more fighting ensued.
According to a report from WTSP-TV in Tampa Bay, as many as three people involved in the attack could face serious charges. In Florida, assaulting a sports official is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years behind bars.
