Former Shock head coach Rob Keefe continues to make himself relevant in Spokane. On Wednesday, he took out a sizeable ad in the Spokesman-Review to say "thank you" and "goodbye" to the fans.

Keefe's ad, accompanied by a photo of him holding the AFL championship trophy he won the season before last, said:

"Thank you for the memories. Most look up and admire the stars. A champion climbs a mountain and grabs one.

"Forever a friend, Rob Keefe."

Keefe said he had taken several calls from potential employers the day after being let go by the Shock front office - at least one of those jobs as a head coach. But as of Thursday, he had not announced anything. His ultimate goal, he said, was to coach in the outdoor game at either the collegiate or professional level.
