Former Vandal and Mr. Irrelevant David Vobora is now a Seahawk. Seattle signed the former Idaho linebacker, said his agent Marc Lillibridge on Twitter.

The News Tribune in Tacoma said terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vobora was the last pick in the 2008 draft and started 16 games with the St. Louis Rams. The Rams released him on Aug. 12.

The Seahawks released running back Vai Taua to make room for Vobora, who is expected to shore up Seattle's linebacker position after Lofa Tatupu was released earlier this month.
