Spokane, WA -- The Indians couldn't dig themselves out of an early 5-0 hole in dropping the series finale against Boise 7-3 in front of a standing room only crowd of 6,823 at Avista Stadium for Fireworks Night.  Despite the loss, the Indians still won the series two games to one.

Indians starter Santo Perez (5-3) was hit hard by the Hawks, allowing five runs on seven hits in just three innings. Hard-throwing right-hander Carlos Melo kept Boise off the board in the fifth and sixth, but Tim Stanford allowed two more runs in his 2.2 innings of work. Victor Payano closed out the game with two strikeouts in 1.1 innings pitched.

Spokane's offense was led by Brett Nicholas, who got the Indians back in the game in the fourth with a two-run home run over the Gropp Electric sign in rightfield. Guillermo Pimentel finished the game 3-4 and Edwin Garcia, Yefry Castillo, and Zach Cone all had base knocks in the loss.

The Indians are now 10-15 in the second half (30-33 overall).
