A young baseball fans got more than a little teary-eyed Thursday when Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett made his day with a simple act of kindness.

While warming up, Beckett spotted a boy with his father in the front row at Fenway Park. He walked over and handed that boy a ball. What ensured were tears of joy.

He just earned a fan for life.
