Former Idaho quarterback Nate Enderle, who was drafted by Chicago in the fifth round, signed a four-year contract, the club said on Wednesday.

The 160th overall pick in the draft, Enderle is expected to be the Bears' third string quarterback behind Jay Cutler and Caleb Hanie. Terms of his contract were not made known.

Enderle passed for more than 8,000 at Idaho, accounting for 62 touchdowns. He led the Vandals to their first bowl appearance in 11 years, beating Bowling Green in the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl.

Also on Wednesay, former Idaho running back Deonte Jackson signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and defensive end Aaron Lavarias signed with the New England Patriots.

Former Vandal tight end Daniel Hardy signed reached a deal with the Bucaneers on Tuesday.
