Shock Sprint Towards Playoffs

In our current poll, nearly 60 percent of the voters think the Spokane Shock will lose in their first round playoff game at Arizona; they might want to rethink that vote.

Even though head coach Rob Keefe says he has his full attention on this week's opponent, the Jacksonville Sharks, you better believe Keefe has taken a peak ahead to Arizona.  The personnel of the AFL is about to change, in fact it has already begun with the suspension of play in the UFL.  In fact, the Shock have regained receiver Greg Orton because of that, and Markee White could be soon to follow.

"We heard that the UFL is suspending play," Shock head coach Rob Keefe told SWX.  "A lot of players need paychecks and a lot of players need to stay in shape and need to play.  We could see some direct implications on that."

Now the NFL lockout is on the verge of ending, and that means several teams will be losing key players, including Arizona superstar wideout Rod Windsor.  What's the big deal, he's only one guy right?  One guy who has 156 receptions for 1830 yards and 36 touchdowns so far this season for the Rattlers.  He is an absolute beast that the Shock and everyone else in the league cannot stop, that is unless he's not there.  You see, Windsor is a member of the NFL's Cleveland Browns.

"Everyone wants to see NFL football," said Keefe.  "Some other teams, not going to name names, might be losing some players which could benefit us in the future.  I think things are getting hot and going in the right direction for the Spokane Shock at the right time."

Let's hope so!
