Coaches in the Arena Football League are starting to take notice of Spokane's newfound success, ranking them No. 8 in the poll released Wednesday by the league.

The Shock (8-8) jumped two spots from their previous No. 10 ranking after beating up on Utah 76-49 in the AFL's first-ever outdoor game last weekend. Spokane has won four of their last five games.

The Arizona Rattlers held onto the top spot in the poll. Jacksonville remained at No. 2, followed by Chicago and Dallas. The Orlando Predators moved up one spot to No. 5, while Georgia fell to No. 6.

The San Jose SaberCats, who play in Spokane this weekend moved up to No. 9 after beating Orlando at home last week. The game, Spokane's last home game of the regular season, kicks off at 7 p.m.

Saturday's game has enormous playoff implications for the Shock. If Spokane wins and Tulsa loses, the Shock are a lock in the playoffs.
