On Wednesday Washington State fans learned DeAngelo Casto, who wasn't picked up by any team in the NBA, was headed to Turkey to play professionally overseas. And on Thursday we learn NBA superstar Deron Williams could also be headed there in order to collect a paycheck during the lockout.

The news first leaked through Turkish television station, NTV Spor. ESPN saw the report and quickly confirmed it.

The New York Times said Besiktas president, Seref Yalcin, would join Williams for a news conference in the United States next week.

Williams played for the New Jersey Nets last season after being traded by the Utah Jazz. It is how playing in Turkey would affect his $34 million contract with the Nets.
