On the day before the NBA draft, it looks quite possible that Washington State guard Klay Thompson could turn out to be a lottery pick. His stock has risen so high in the past several weeks that he was invited to sit in the green room in New York – a spot typically reserved for players expected to be selected through Nos. 15 or 20.

The sharpshooting guard's stock has been rising as he's gone from workout to workout around the NBA. Some are now calling him the most skilled offensive player in the draft. Others said they've been surprised with his ability to create his own shot. Most agree he has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA.

Chad Ford's latest projection on ESPN.com showed Thompson going at No. 10 to the Milwaukee Bucks. Or he could stay on the West Coast and go No. 11 to the Golden State Warriors. And if he falls any further, teams like Utah or New York could pick him up.
