There's something about Spokane and basketball. The two fit together perfectly. So it comes as little surprise to point out that, for the first time in history, the Lilac City will host the first, second, third and fourth rounds of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

This isn't the first time Spokane has hosted the tournament. The first two rounds have been here before. Remember 2001 and 2008? Those rounds were in Spokane Arena.

This year, Gonzaga will host the first two rounds at the McCarthey Athletic Center on March 19 and 21. Washington State will host Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds at Spokane Arena on Mach 26 and 28.

Ticket prices for the first two rounds on the Gonzaga Campus are $34 for adults and $22 for kids. Tickets for the games at Spokane Arena begin at $45 and include all three games played.

For Zags fans, having the first four rounds of the tournament in Spokane could be exciting to say the least. The women's team is likely headed to the tournament and could be assigned to the Spokane region through the Elite 8 round – if they keep winning.
