After scoring a career high 20 points against Santa Clara last week, the West Coast Conference named Gonzaga guard Marquise Carter its Player of the Week on Monday.

Carter went 6-for-9 against the Broncos, including 2-for-3 from 3-point range against the Broncos. He also made all six of his free throw attempts, made five assists, blocked a shot and turned the ball over just twice.

If that wasn't enough, he followed it up with an 18-point performance against San Francisco on Saturday. In that game he shot 7-of-10 from the floor, made three 3-pointers and grabbed a career high five rebounds.

Also nominated were Chris Manresa (San Diego) and Kevin Foster (Santa Clara).

Vandersloot Does It Again

Gonzaga's star guard Courtney Vandersloot earned another Player of the Week Award for her play last week against Santa Clara and San Francisco. Through two games she averaged 26 points and 11.5 assists, shooting 60 percent from the field. She had 11 assists in the Zags' 79-65 win at Santa Clara.

Also nominated were Jazmine Jackson (Pepperdine), Natalie Day (Portland) and Jasmine Smith (Saint Mary's).
