NAMPA, Idaho -- Carli Rosenthal scored 16 points to lead Coeur d'Alene to a 65-52 win over Boise in the Idaho 5A State Quarterfinals on Thursday.  The Vikings found themselves in a 41-29 halftime deficit, but rallied back to outscore Boise 36-11 in the final two quarters to punch their ticket to the state semifinals, where they will face Highland on Friday.

Coeur d'Alene is trying to claim its fourth consecutive state title, a feat never before accomplished by the Vikings.  They beat IEL rival Lewiston in last year's title game.

Lewiston, meanwhile, stayed on track for a repeat trip to the championship game, rallying back from a 26-15 halftime hole to beat Capital 58-43.  They will face Centennial in the other 5A semifinal on Friday.

North Central Boys, Girls Headed to 3A Tourney

Despite playing District Championship games on the road Thursday night, both the North Central boys and girls basketball teams secured spots in the WIAA 3A State Tournament.  Aaron Antoine scored a game-high 24 points to pace the Indian boys in a 62-48 victory at University High School.  The North Central girls got a 16 point night from Tara Vanweerdhuizen to beat Shadle Park 51-38 in the GSL 3A District Final.
