NAMPA, Idaho -- Carli Rosenthal scored 16 points to lead Coeur d'Alene to a 65-52 win over Boise in the Idaho 5A State Quarterfinals on Thursday. The Vikings found themselves in a 41-29 halftime deficit, but rallied back to outscore Boise 36-11 in the final two quarters to punch their ticket to the state semifinals, where they will face Highland on Friday.
Coeur d'Alene is trying to claim its fourth consecutive state title, a feat never before accomplished by the Vikings. They beat IEL rival Lewiston in last year's title game.
Lewiston, meanwhile, stayed on track for a repeat trip to the championship game, rallying back from a 26-15 halftime hole to beat Capital 58-43. They will face Centennial in the other 5A semifinal on Friday.
