Zags Seek Revenge Against Broncos

Posted: Updated:

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have an opportunity to pull within one game of the Saint Mary's Gaels tonight.  The first-place Gaels lost to San Diego Wednesday Night, 74-66, giving them two conference losses.  The Zags have three losses in WCC play.  Thursday night the Bulldogs host Santa Clara, a team that beat the Zags in January.  Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at the McCarthey Athletic Center.  The game is airing live on KHQ-TV.  Gonzaga would love to avenge that earlier season loss to the Broncos, but know it will not be easy.

"They're a very physical, very aggressive team," said Gonzaga head coach Mark Few.  "They really get after you.  Obviously, Kevin Foster was on fire against us last time (36 points).  We need to do a better job there, we need to do a better job on a couple of other guys also."

The Bulldogs host San Francisco Saturday night at 5 p.m. on KHQ-TV.  They will finish out the regular season next week at Saint Mary's and San Diego.
