EVERETT, Wash. - Levko Koper scored three goals as the Spokane Chiefs dominated the Everett Silvertips 7-2 Wednesday night in Western Hockey League action.

Spokane already had the game well in hand when Koper scored twice late in the third period to polish off his hat trick. The Chiefs finished with a 53-23 shot advantage, and only a good effort from Everett goaltender Kent Simpson prevented Spokane from reaching double digits.

Brenden Kichton added two goals, Blake Gal and Collin Valcourt also scored, and Anthony Bardaro added three assists for Spokane (35-16-6), which pulled within three points of Portland for first place in the Western Conference. Mac Engel earned the win in goal for the Chiefs with 21 saves.

Ryan Harrison and Tyler Maxwell scored for Everett (23-25-9), which dropped its third straight. Simpson finished with 46 saves in net for the Silvertips.
