SPOKANE, Wash. - Only a handful of tickets remained Thursday morning for Friday's Arena Bowl, meaning if fans want to see the game in person they'd better act fast.

Ticket sales got a boost Wednesday when Washington State offered to give free tickets to the Cougars' home opener against Montana State to anyone who bought tickets to the Shock's championship game against Tampa Bay. Offering a freebie to the Sept. 11 game at Martin Stadium was the school's way of "congratulating" the Shock on "an outstanding season".

The Shock put an additional 150 standing-room-only tickets on sale Thursday morning. They expect the crowd to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 11,000 fans. And they expect them to be very loud.

The team said earlier in the week they were making a few hundred vuvuzelas available for purchase at the arena "to add to the championship atmosphere" on gamenight.

"NFL Network, Kurt Warner, young franchise versus a new franchise, this is going to be unbelievable," said head coach Rob Keefe while urging people to go out and buy their ticket.

"Just seeing Brady [Nelson] come in with the horns and stuff like that - that's great to see the fans and we can give them what they've been waiting for. I'm expecting 10,000, 11,000 crazy fans," added defensive back Travis Williams

Friday's game starts shortly after 5 p.m. on NFL Network, with live pregame coverage airing on SWX-TV at 4:45.
