Spokane Golf Legend Headed to Senior U.S. Open

Posted: Updated:

An injury to Paul Azinger means a Spokane-area golf legend gets to compete in this weekend's Senior U.S. Open.

Gary Lindeblad, the longtime golf pro at Spokane's Indian Canyon Golf Course, will travel to Sammamish, Wash. this week to replace Azinger, who withdrew on Monday because of a foot injury. Lindeblad will be paired with Tom Lehman.

Another golfer, Nick Price, withdrew from the tournament because of a toe injury. He'll be replaced by Paul Trittler.

The Senior U.S. Open will be played at Sahalee Country Club outside of Seattle.
