Indians drive alive at 5 straight

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WA -- Consider the Spokane Indians' woeful start history.  A 1-6 start has been erased with an inspired five-game win streak.  Spokane's latest win came Thursday night, rallying to a 4-3 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils at Gesa Stadium.

The Indians fell behind 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning before getting on the scoreboard in the eighth inning.  After Alejandro Selen led off the inning with a single, Selen later scored on a Michael Olt 2-run double for Spokane's first runs of the game.  Daniel Lima doubled one batter later to plate Olt and tie the game at 2.  The scoring eruption continued with a Daniel Lima RBI double and Jared Hoying single.

Ovispo De Los Santos came out of the bullpen in the ninth inning, striking out Joshua Rutledge with the game-tying run on third base.

The Indians improve to 6-7 on the season and pull themselves out of the cellar in the Northwest's East Division standings.
