    SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Shock returned to the practice field Tuesday to get ready for what many say is the biggest game to date in the new Arena Football League: No. 3 Spokane versus No. 1 Jacksonville. Jacksonville has the best record in the league with a 6-1 record. Their most recent win was a 2-point, 46-44 win over the Cleveland Gladiators last Saturday.More >>

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Shock moved up to No. 3 in the latest AFL coaches poll, right behind Jacksonville and Milwaukee.

The Iron fell from the top spot to No. 2, and the Tulsa Talons moved back up to No. 4 after another home win against in-state rival Oklahoma City. Chicago, which started the season at the top of the poll, fell to No. 5 despite a win last week at Dallas.

Dallas, meanwhile, is tied for last place and has the defensive coordinator stepping in as the interim head coach. The Vigilantes' head coach Rich Ingold was fired on Monday.

The Cleveland Gladiators fell the most in Week 8, plunging out of the top 5 to No. 8. Tampa Bay also fell in the poll after a touchdown in the final seconds barely gave them a win at Bossier-Shreveport.
