SPOKANE, Wash. - Time is running out to register for the annual Bloomsday race in Spokane.  The deadline to register for $15 is April 13. After the that, the price doubles to $30.

Runners can register for the race, scheduled for Sunday, May 2, either by mail, in-person or online. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked no later than Apr. 13 to qualify for the $15 price. Runners can register in-person at any Sports Authority store, or online at Bloomsday.org. The price to register online is $16.49 through Apr. 18. After that, it jumps to $32.99 until Apr. 25. The very last days to enter the race will be Apr. 30 and May 1, but a late fee of $30 will be assessed at that time. Late registration tables will be set up at the Spokane Convention Center on the final two days. No entries will be taken on race day, according to organizers.

In an effort to get more teens involved in the race this year, organizers created a special teen challenge, awarding prices to the fastest youth runners. Team members need to be from the same school, but multiple teams may enter from the same school.  The three best Bloomsday times will count towards the team total and the winners on each team will win iPod Shuffles.

To enter the Teen Challenge, runners first have to sign up as an individual, then fill out the Teen Challenge form and take it to the Bloomsday office at 1610 W. Riverside by Apr. 26.
