An NCAA tournament regional final has been the Zags' desired destination ever since the start of the most impressive season in school history. After what's already their deepest tournament run, the seventh-seeded Zags (29-4) are just one game away from that audacious goal.
Yet there's an awfully big obstacle in their path in Saturday night's regional semifinal at Arco Arena, two obstacles, actually.
Third-seeded Xavier (29-3) is still stinging from last season's first-round loss to Gonzaga, and low-post stars Ta'Shia Phillips and Amber Harris have goals of their own.
