SPOKANE, Wash. - Two young girls holding bright pink signs probably made Gonzaga's day on Thursday. There they were - front and center - as the women's basketball team exited the McCarthey Athletic Center with bags in hand and boarded a bus.

Finding a seat on the bus was just the first step on the way to a date with Xavier in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Women's Tournament. The team was scheduled to take off from Spokane International Airport aboard a private charter plane around 2 p.m.  The plane would take them to Sacramento where they are scheduled to play on Saturday.

Gonzaga's team is coming off a memorable win over Texas A&M on Monday night. Xavier defeated No. 6-seeded Vanderbilt 63-62 Tuesday night in Cincinnati, overcoming a double-digit deficit in the second half to get the win.

After knocking out A&M earlier this week - a team to which the Zags lost in the regular season - Gonzaga faces another familiar team. The Zags played the Musketeers last year.  In the tournament.  In the first round.  And they beat them by 14 points.  While it's hard to argue Xavier is the same team this year, players and coaches from Gonzaga admitted it helps to know their foe's overall tendencies and gameplans.

The Bulldogs and Musketeers are scheduled to tipoff Saturday at 8:35 p.m. live on ESPN2.  Before that, SWX-TV will air a special one-on-one interview with head coach Kelly Graves Friday at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, fans can watch an hour-long pre-game special program beginning at 7:30 p.m.
