The Davenport Gorillas used their size to blow right past Selkirk 57-34 in the 2B Bi-County playoffs on Monday at Mead High School. Chris Becker led the Gorillas with 14 points. Hunter Enyeart added 12 rebounds.

Selkirk's leading scorer was Zach Jensen with 14.

Davenport moves on to play Northwest Christian on Wednesday evening. Selkirk will play Reardan in the 4:30 game. Both games are at Mead High School.

Colfax 93, Springdale 39: Colfax whipped up on Springdale in the first round of the District 7 2B playoffs on Monday. James Robinson led all scorers with 25, including five 3-pointers. Tomaz Symonowiez led Springdale with 13 points.

Colfax will play St. George's at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, while Springdale will play Lind-Ritzville at 3 p.m. Both games will be at Mead High School.

St. George's 62, Lind-Ritzville 54: The Dragons broke from a halftime tie to open a 15-point lead after three quarters, then held on in the fourth to dispatch the Broncos at Mt. Spokane. Jordan Dickson (22) and Mark Kenney (18) combined for 40 points for St. George's. James Stevenson scored 19 for L-R.

Northwest Christian 63, Reardan 43: Kwinn Hanson scored 23 points to lead three double-figure scorers for the Crusaders in the first-round win at Mead. Jake Hight scored 18 for Reardan.

District 9 1B

Touchet 56, LaCrosse-Washtucna 49 (OT): Kevin Ford scored six of his 10 points in overtime as the Indians eliminated the Tigercats in Endicott. Touchet trailed 35-30 after three periods. Jeff Zimmer had 18 points and Jake Aune 15 for Lac-Wash.

Colton 54, Tri-Cities Prep 53: Sam Robertson hit a 15-foot baseline jumper at the buzzer to keep the Wildcats alive in the loser-out game. Dustin Patchen had 17 points, 13 rebounds and six blocked shots for Colton. Will Hoppes had 26 points and 10 rebounds for TC Prep.

Colton plays Touchet in another loser-out game Friday at Endicott.


District 7 2B tourney

Northwest Christian 43, Republic 27: A decisive 50-34 advantage on the boards, with five players collecting eight apiece, led the Crusaders to victory at Mt. Spokane. Jessica Dahm had 12 points and Colbi Neal 11 for NWC. Tori Orestad of Republic claimed game scoring honors with 14 points.

NWC plays Colfax at 7:30 p.m. and Republic plays Liberty at 4:30, both at Mt. Spokane on Friday.

Colfax 61, Liberty 41: Kayla Johnson had 23 points and was one of three Bulldogs with eight rebounds in the win at Mead. Kelly Hennessey (13) and Teara Cornmesser (12) combined for 25 points for Liberty.

Lind-Ritzville 41, St. George's 38: Chessey Thomas made four 3-pointers, three in the fourth quarter, and scored a game-high 21 points, but it wasn't enough to rescue the Dragons, who fell to the Broncos at Mt. Spokane. L-R got scoring from eight players, led by Devon Killian's 10. Heather Whitmore had 10 rebounds for the Broncos.

Lind-Ritzville plays Reardan at 6 p.m. and St. George's plays Springdale at 3 p.m., both at Mt. Spokane on Friday.

Reardan 62, Springdale 45: Kelsey Moos got the Indians started offensively in the first quarter on the way to 24 points, then collected three steals in the fourth against the Chargers. She added seven rebounds. Kelsey Fitzgerald scored 12 for Springdale.

District 9 2B

Garfield-Palouse 36, Walla Walla Valley Academy 28: Lacee Hendrickson scored 16 of her game-high 17 points in the first half to get the Vikings started in the play-in game at home. Gar-Pal will play Liberty Christian at 6 p.m. Friday in Richland.

District 9 1B tourney

Rosalia 50, Touchet 48: Samantha Wilson's 3-pointer with a minute to play gave the Spartans a 46-43 lead and they held on against the Indians in Endicott. Katelyn Maley had 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for Rosalia. Zoe Weaver led Touchet with 15 points.

LaCrosse-Washtucna 48, Tri-Cities Prep 34: Della Fleming scored 15 points to lead the win at Endicott.

Rosalia will play LaCrosse-Washtucna at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Endicott.
