Gonzaga falls in polls after overtime loss to San Francisco

After losing to San Francisco in overtime on Saturday, Gonzaga (17-4) fell five spots to No. 17 in the latest AP Top 25 college basketball poll.

The Zags lost as the Dons' Dior Lowhorn hit consecutive 3-pointers in overtime, leading his team to a 81-77 upset and breaking Gonzaga's 28-game regular season WCC winning streak. Angelo Caloiaro made a 3-pointer with 32.8 seconds left to secure the win for San Francisco, who ended a 9-game losing streak in the series.

The Zags also fell out of the top 10 in the ESPN/USAToday coaches poll. They went from No. 8 to No. 13, right behind Brigham Young (21-2) and just ahead of Tennessee (16-4).

Kansas, once again, found itself at No. 1 in both polls after being out of position for the last three weeks. In the AP poll, Villanova was second, followed by Syracuse, Kentucky and Michigan State. Saint Mary's, of the WCC, didn't crack either poll but received votes in both.
