MOSCOW, Idaho - TaHara Williams, literally in the blink of an eye, dashed Idaho's hopes of a comeback with her 15-foot jumper as time expired to give Utah State University a hard-fought 57-55 Western Athletic Conference victory over the Vandals Wednesday night. The Vandals, who trailed early but battled back and took turns with the lead in the second half, forged a tie on Shaena Kuehu's layup with 10 seconds to play.More >>

The Idaho Vandals will try to stop the madness Thursday night as they host a Fresno State team playing without their leading scorer and rebounder. The game against the Bulldogs tips off at 7:05 p.m. and can be seen live on SWX-TV.

The Vandals are looking to take advantage of the Bulldogs predicament to win their first game since Jan 2. Sophomore Paul George was injured in the Bulldogs loss to Utah State and will not play Thursday night at the Cowen Spectrum.

Beating the George-less Bulldogs may be easier said than done, however. Playing without their leading scorer, Fresno State downed Nevada 87-77 to improve their conference record to 4-3. After George, Fresno State's leading scorer is forward Sylvester Seay (15.7 ppg) and freshman center Greg Smith (12.1 ppg, 6.7 rebounds).

The Vandals have won the last three meetings between the two schools. All wins were decided by a combined 11 points. Two of the last three games played in Moscow were decided in overtime. The margin of victory in those games was 3.3 points.
