Reggie Moore scored a career-high 25 points for Washington State but it wasn't enough to lift the Cougars past the Cal Bears.  California made it out of the Palouse with a 93-88 win Thursday night.

Moore was one of four Cougars who scored in double figures. Nikola Koprivica scored a personal Pac-10 high 15 points for the Cougars, who have now lost three straight games to California. Xavier Thames made five field goals and scored 10 points, one shy of his career high.

"What I saw from Cal was a number of upper classmen in a Pac-10 game that came out with tremendous energy we didn't match," said coach Ken Bone in a news release after the game. "When we did, we were pretty good."

The Cougars blame the loss, partly at least, on a slow start.

"I think we got off to a bad start, they are a good team," said Koprivica. "It's hard to come back.  We have to start out game much better."

Washington State lost despite hitting a Pac-10 high 33 field goals.  They lost two-straight games for the first time in conference play this season.
