Gonzaga opened the WCC season last week with an impressive 90-54 thumping of the Portland Pilots, who came into the game with an identical win-loss record. Four different Zags scored in double figures. The team as a whole shot 46.7 percent from the field and outrebounded the Pilots 44-35.

Saint Mary's, who finished last season No. 4 in the WCC, has yet to lose in conference play. The Gaels have beaten both San Francisco and Santa Clara on the back of WCC Defensive Player of the Year Louella Tomlinson. The junior leads the league in points (17.8), rebounds (9.9) and blocks per game with 6.9. She was named the WCC Player of the Month in November and December and was named this past week's Player of the Week.

Thursday's game tips off at 6 p.m. and can be seen live on SWX-TV.
