The long drought is over for Idaho. After going bowl-less for 11 years, the Vandals pulled a miracle out of their pocket to beat Bowling Green 43-42 in the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise on Wednesday afternoon.

Trailing 42-35 with under a minute to go, Vandal quarterback Nate Enderle threw a 50-yard pass to Preston Davis, followed by a 16-year touchdown strike to Max Komar. Idaho coach Robb Akey, never the conservative type, made the decision to go for a two-point conversion and the win. Enderle found Preston Davis in the back of the end zone with :04 left in the game, and the celebration ensued.

Enderle went 15-for-28 and threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns. Running Back DeMaundray Woolridge ran 22 times for 126 yards.

Bowling Green lost the game but celebrated a milestone achieved by wide receiver Freddie Barnes, who set a new FBS record for the most receptions in a single season when he caught number 142. Barnes caught 17 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns. He set the record on his fifth reception of the game. Barnes also completed a pass for one yard.
