The Gonzaga Bulldogs moved up in the national polls Monday after last week's wins over Augustana and Davidson. The Zags (8-2), with losses to Michigan State and Wake Forest, begin the new week ranked No. 15 in the latest AP poll.

The Zags latest win came Saturday against Davidson in the Battle in Seattle at KeyArena. The Zags won 103-91, despite not having starting guard Matt Bouldin in the lineup. Trainers decided mere hours before the game that he should sit the bench, given what happened to him earlier in the week (he was briefly knocked unconscious after a collision with an Augustana player).

With Bouldin sitting in a pink shirt on the sidelines, head coach Mark Few went to his bench to make up for lost points. 20-year-old freshman Elias Harris stepped up and scored a season-high 27 points. Robert Sacre and Demetri Goodson also had career nights. Sacre scored 22, while Goodson added 23.

With last week's wins now behind them, the Zags look forward to another big test in No. 7 Duke.

"We play Duke in the mecca of college basketball in Madison Square Garden in New York City, " said Gonzaga coach Mark Few. "It's a great opportunity, a great program. It's one we've tried to emulate with a lot of parts of our program. They're off to a great start and it looks like they have a Final Four caliber team."

The Blue Devils moved up in the polls after beating undefeated St. John's on Dec. 5. Kyle Singler scored 17 points in the win. Nolan Smith added 16 and Jon Scheyer had 15. They play Gardner-Webb before Saturday's game in New York.
