The Spokane Chiefs dropped their second straight game as the Tri City Americans used a three goal second period on their way to a 6-2 win over the Chiefs Saturday night in Kennewick. With the loss, Spokane is now 2-2-1 on the season.

Tri City jumped on top with a power play goal just 6:31 into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Spokane would counter on a Levko Koper power play goal at 16:28 of the first to tie the game at one. Kyle Beach and Stephan Ulmer picked up the assists on Koper's team leading 5th goal of the season. Tri Cities Justin Feser would give Tri the lead back just 21 seconds later to help Tri to a 2-1 lead after one. Tri City outshot Spokane 15-8 in the first period.

Tri City would expand the lead to 3-1 on an Adam Hughesman goal 7:06 into the second period. Koper would notch his second goal of the night and 6th of the year from goalie James Reid at 10:08 to bring Spokane within 3-2. The Ams would get a Brett Plouffe power play goal to open a 4-2 lead, then Jarrett Toll's shorthanded goal from beyond the Tri blue line would make it 5-2 Tri after two periods.

Tri City would score their third power play goal of the night as Feser would get his second goal of the night at 9:36 of the third period to cap the scoring. Tri City outshot Spokane 34-28 in the contest.

The Chiefs will return home when they host the Prince Albert Raiders Friday night at 7pm.
