SPOKANE, WA - The Spokane Indians rebounded from their tough road trip, defeating the Yakima Bears 3-0 Friday night at Avista Stadium in front of 4,919 fans. It was the Indians first shutout since August 10th when they shut down the Tri-City Dust Devils.

The Indians got on the scoreboard first in the bottom of the second inning when Danny Lima hit into a 4-3 double play, scoring Tomas Telis from third base. Spokane picked up another run in the fourth inning as Lima singled to score Jared Prince from third base and one more in the eighth when Telis hit a solo home run into The Grotto.

Telis finished the night 2-for-4 with a double and the home run. Prince and Edward Martinez also had doubles.

Indians starter Braden Tullis made his final start of the season count, going five innings and giving up just four hits with no runs for the win. Joseph Ortiz went two innings in relief, allowing two hits while striking out three. Kyle Ocampo pitched the final two innings to pick up the save, his third of the season. The Indians team ERA is now under 4.00 for the first time since the beginning of the season, sitting at 3.99 after tonight's performance.

Spokane had some new faces in the starting lineup, as the team added four new players on the road. Telis, Edwin Garcia, and Billy O'Conner all made their Avista Stadium debut. Michael Ortiz also joined the team on the road, but played in one game for the Indians last season.
