SWX (Sports and Weather) will air  total of 20 college football games in 2011, featuring teams near and dear to the Inland Northwest.  The season begins Sept. 10 with Idaho hosting the University of North Dakota in the newly renovated Kibbie Dome.

On Sept. 17, fans can watch Eastern Washington play Montana in Missoula. The next week features Montana State at Eastern Washington on the red turf. Eagle fans can catch a total of four Eastern Washington games on SWX this season - all of them live.

SWX will also air four Whitworth games beginning September 17 against Redlands. That game will be tape delayed, as will the game against Linfield on November 5.

Two Central Washington games will be on SWX this year - the Humboldt State game on October 15 and the Dixie State game on November 12.

College football fans will also get to see several games from the SEC - one each Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

SWX can be seen free over the air on 6-2 in Spokane, 25-3 in the Tri-Cities area and 23-3 in the Yakima area. The 24-hour-a-day sports and weather channel can also be seen on cable in the following regions: Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, Moscow, Pullman, Lewiston, Moses Lake, Sandpoint, Tri-Cities and Yakima (check local listings for channel assignments).

Currently, SWX is not available on DirecTV or DISH Network.  Having SWX on satellite is KHQ's number one priority, and we ask that viewers help the process along by calling their satellite provider and ask that SWX be given a channel placement. The response we have received from DISH and Direct is they don't have enough space for secondary digital channels. KHQ feels local should be a high priority.  We are trying to change their minds with the help of our viewers. So please keep calling and let them know your feelings about how important it is to show local weather and sports on SWX on the Satellite.  Again, KHQ appreciates your help and support with this.

DISH Network customers can call 1-888-825-2557 and Direct-TV customers can call 1-888-777-2454.
