Tri-City falls 8-3 to Vancouver

RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Tri-City Dust Devils were beat at Gesa Stadium 8-3. The game was the final one against Eugene and the Emeralds took the series 3-2. Tri-City had a bad inning in which six runs were scored, four on a grand slam.

The Dust Devils managed nine hits on the day, but struggled to bring anyone in. The Dust Devils were 0-8 with runners in scoring position and left nine batters on base. Bo Bowman led the Dust Devils going 2-4 with two runs, and two RBI. Tim Wheeler went 2-5 on the day, but left four runners on. Joseph Sanders went 1-3 with one RBI.

Starter Matt Baugh struggled in 2.2 innings as he gave up nine hits, seven runs and walked two. Rhett Ballard relieved Baugh and pitched 3.1 innings allowing one run and striking out two. Eric Federico finished the game pitching three innings giving up one hit and striking out three.
