Daye leads all scorers in Detroit's win over New York

Former Gonzaga forward Austin Daye is starting to silence his critics, showing he really can play at the next level.  The No. 15 pick in the NBA draft dropped 27 points on the New York Knicks in the Las Vegas Summer league Wednesday afternoon.

Daye led all scorers in the game, helping the Pistons to a 3-1 record so far this summer.  He played more than 36 minutes, shooting 9-of-17 including a 3-pointer.  Daye shot 8-of-10 from the free throw line and grabbed a total of 13 rebounds.

Detroit wraps up its schedule on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers' summer league team.

Former Gonzaga teammate Jeremy Pargo played 10 minutes in Wednesday's game, going 2-of-2 from the field and recording three assists.

Morrison continues to lead Lakers
Already the leading scorer on the Lakers' summer team, former Gonzaga star Adam Morrison continues to impress his critics.  He played nearly 34 minutes in Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City and scored 17 points to lead the Lakers past the Thunder 74-68.  Morrison shot 5-of-18 from the field, knocked down two 3-pointers and grabbed 5 rebounds in the win.

Former Washington State Cougar Aron Baynes played about 15 minutes but did not score.  He had 4 rebounds.  Another former Coug, Taylor Rochestie played 16 minutes, hitting 2-of-4 from the field.

For the Thunder, former Cougar Kyle Weaver scored 10 points and 8 rebounds, but missed all three 3-point attempts and had four turnovers.
