MOSCOW, Idaho - Paul Dittmer will be the second Idaho Vandal to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships next week in Arkansas.

The German-born hurdler found out Monday he received an at-large bid to compete in the national meet.  He finished sixth in the 110m hurdles with a career-best 13.85 at the Regional meet in Eugene, Ore. over the weekend.

Dittmer becomes just the second Vandal to qualify for an NCAA meet in the 110m hurdles.  The only other Vandal runner to qualify was Hugh Henry, who owns the school record of 13.80 (2003).

Dittmer will join fellow sophomore James Rogan to make up the University of Idaho's contingent at the Championship meet beginning June 10.  Rogan qualified automatically in the hammer throw on Saturday by virtue of his third place finish.
