Cougars Seem Poised for Postseason Play

It's been 19 years since the WSU baseball team received an NCAA regional berth, but as Donnie Marbut wraps up his fifth regular season in Pullman, things are looking a little different on the Palouse.

The right direction is no understatement. The Cougs are 16-8 in the Pac-10 this season and sit in second place in the conference, putting them in prime position for a postseason run.

But it hasn't come easy for the Cougars. WSU is coming off four straight seasons finishing 7th or worse in the conference, but this team has a whole new look.

But the increased success comes with increased expectations, Something the cougars are just fine with.
