Eagles take WSU receiver in sixth round

PHILADELPHIA, Wash. -  (AP)  The Philadelphia Eagles have used their sixth-round pick in the NFL draft to select Washington State wide receiver Brandon Gibson, who holds the Cougars' record for yardage in a season.

Gibson, 6-feet, 204 pounds, caught 57 passes for 673 yards last year. In his junior year, he set a school record with 1,180 yards receiving.

Earlier, the team made four trades involving draft picks, ultimately acquiring cornerback Ellis Hobbs from New England and two picks in next years draft.

The Eagles used three picks in the fifth round to select Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram, who missed his senior year with a torn ACL; Virginia Tech cornerback Victor Harris, who could move inside to safety; and Oregon left tackle Fenuki Tupou, a JUCO transfer.
