WSU Offense Emerges in Second Spring Scrimmage

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The WSU football team was hard at work on Saturday, running through set in their second scrimmage of the spring. Redshirt Senior Quarterback Kevin Lopina completed 12-17 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown to Junior transfer receive Johnny Forzani.

The defense also came to play though, posting two sack on the day, one by Casey Hamlet and the other Josh Luapo. Redshirt Senior safety Xavier Hicks also brought in an interception, the only pick of the day from Cougar quarterbacks.

The Cougs will hold their last scrimmage of the year at 10am on Saturday, April 25th at Martin Stadium.
