Bouldin, Gray back for Zags

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga will lose stalwarts Josh Heytvelt and Jeremy Pargo next season, but has a strong core of returning starters and new players.

North Carolina ended Gonzaga's season with a blowout win in the Round of 16 last week. The Zags finished 28-6 and made their 11th consecutive NCAA tournament.

While there were hopes that this team would be the first since the 1999 squad to make at least the Elite Eight, the lack of a true low post game left the Zags too reliant on outside shooting, but the season was a success. The Zags' 28 victories this season were one short of the school record set in 2002 and equaled in 2006. They won their ninth straight West Coast Conference title, going unbeaten for the third time in school history. They won the WCC tournament for the ninth time in the past 11 years.
