PULLMAN Wash. - The rumor mill is already turning after Tony Bennett left WSU for the head coaching job at Virginia on Monday. Here is a list of potential candidates for the position:

1. Ray Giacoletti, Gonzaga: Longtime assistant at Gonzaga. Has two NCAA tournament appearances as a head coach with Eastern and Utah, including a Sweet Sixteen appearance with the Utes. So far no contact has been made with Giacoletti by WSU.

2. Ken Bone, Portland State: Former Washington assistant and head coach at Seattle Pacific, Bone now coaches Portland State and has led the Vikings to two NCAA tournament appearances in four years with the program. Sterk has contacted Portland State about talking to Bone.

3. Bill Grier, San Diego: Gonzaga assistant from 1991-2007. Took the head coaching job at San Diego following the 06-07 season, and led the Toreros to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 07-08. So far no contact has been made with Grier by WSU.

4. Randy Bennett, St. Mary's: Bennett was an assistant at St. Louis, Pepperdine, San Diego and Idaho before taking the head coaching job at St. Mary's. Bennett has led the Gaels to two NCAA tournament appearances (2005, 2008). May be a long shot for the Cougars to land. No contact has been made with Bennett by WSU.
