Gonzaga holding pre-game news conference

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - No. 4 seed Gonzaga will have history going against it when it plays top-seeded North Carolina in a regional semifinal game in the NCAA men's basketball tournament tomorrow night at Memphis.

SWXRightNow.com will be streaming live pre-game press conferences from both Gonzaga and UNC. Gonzaga's conference is scheduled to begin at noon, with North Carolina's directly following. The press conference can also be seen on SWX-TV, digital channel digital channel 6-2, Comcast channel 115, Time Warner channel 306 and Wenatchee Charter channel 287.

The Zags are facing a No. 1 seed for the fourth time and they're 0-3 in their first three tries. Gonzaga lost to UConn in 1999, Michigan State in 2001 and Arizona in double overtime in 2003.

Gonzaga is an 8.5-point underdog against the Tar Heels, who expect to have starting point guard Ty Lawson at close to 100 percent.

The Zags advanced to Memphis by the narrowest of margins, beating Western Kentucky 83-81 in a second-round game in Portland, Ore., last week on a last-second basket by freshman guard Demetri Goodson.

The Zags are playing in the NCAA tournament for the 11th straight season, the last 10 under coach Mark Few. They flew to Memphis from Spokane yesterday.
