SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Shock announced today that DB James Todd has been added to their 2009 roster. In another roster move, DB Jimmie Sutton was placed on the injured-reserve list. Sutton will be eligible to come off IR for the regular-season opener on April 3rd against the Stockton Lightning.
Todd, 6-0 185, is a third-year veteran of the af2. In 2007, he appeared in two games for Spokane and tallied 8.5 tackles with one interception. The following season, 2008, Todd signed with the Texas Copperheads and was named to the all-af2 team after he accumulated 73.5 tackles with 11 interceptions and 18 pass break-ups.
"Even in the short stint that we had him in 2007 we knew that we had a special player," Shackleford said. "We are certainly thrilled that he will be back with us. We know we have a player with tremendous talent and character."
Todd will be eligible to play in tomorrow night's scrimmage against the Arkansas Twisters. Tickets for the game are on sale now and can be purchased by calling TicketsWest. Season tickets are also on sale now and can be purchased by calling (509) 242-7462.
