Washington State-Oregon preview: Ducks look to complete sweep of Cougars

Bottom line: Oregon goes for the season sweep over Washington State after winning the previous matchup in Eugene. The teams last faced each other on Jan. 27, when the Ducks outshot Washington State from the field 54.5 percent to 54.3 percent and had 10 fewer turnovers on their way to a 78-58 victory.

Team leadership: Washington State’s Robert Franks has averaged 21.8 points and 7.3 rebounds, and CJ Elleby has added 15.4 points and 6.9 rebounds. For the Ducks, Bol Bol has averaged 14.5 points and 6.6 rebounds, and Louis King has added 13.3 points and 5.6 rebounds.

Nifty Franks: Franks has connected on 39.9 percent of the 163 3-pointers he’s attempted and has made 15 of 36 over the last five games. He’s also made 81.7 percent of his free throws this season.

Yet to win: The Ducks are 0-7 when they allow 73 or more points and 17-5 when they hold opponents to anything under 73 points. The Cougars are 0-7 when they score 67 points or fewer and 11-11 when they exceed 67.

Long-range threat: Oregon’s Payton Pritchard has attempted 156 3-pointers and connected on 33.3 percent. He is 6 for 16 over his last three games.

Did you know: Oregon’s defense has held opponents to 64.4 points per game, the 27th-lowest total in Division I. Washington State has allowed an average of 78.5 points through 29 games.
